i was actually really stoked on this show. we got to play on a REALLY big stage to about 500 empty seats while the "music fans" were off to the side fenced in by, not one but two, four and a half foot fences. then we were told to get out after playing so 311 could leave their trailers and enjoy the backstage while applying their hair gel in peace. the highlight- meeting, seeing, then hanging out with wavves at red roof inn near metro center. it was only 65 bucks for the four of us! i heart FL.
This post is a twofer. Libby and I just got back from seeing hannah montana instead of that STOOPID movie wolverine!
Anyways here goes lol;
Mark: THANKS for the guest tickets! I was super-mega-duper pleased with your guys fun performance. I hope sunfest doesn't let you down for further south Florida shows. That event is an overpriced shithole for 311 and tribal tattoo fans.
Libby: If you were being sarcastic by refering to the crowd as "music fans" then I hope you are excluding the chick singing along to every one of your songs. Your bassist was quite captivating with his awkward spunk and simply stole my heart. P.S. DON'T SEE HANNAH MONTANA!
Mark: P.P.S. SEE HANNAH MONTANA!
Here is a picture of us almost enjoying you guys to the 1000% We would've been more enthusiastic without the stupid blockade. http://www.browardpalmbeach.com/slideshow/view/8224607/16
brown curly hair? it's "music fans" as opposed to "festival goers"/"i got free 311 tickets from a radio promo". we really did have a good time; just wished that we could have setup our instruments on the lawn rather than the stage. so glad you guys made it!
thanks for coming guys, it was really fun. im glad that we got some nice normal FL people in too. totally lucked out by giving out free passes over myspace, it couldve totally all went haywire.
I was surprised the only people that responded to your free tickets post were all my friends that I told about it. I'm bummed I missed Wavves. Dang work got in the way of that.
I'd still like to discuss a trade of merch for custom pedal or synth. If you're up for it pm me at mshaner (at) gmail.com

Your out of place nature made this one of the most bizzarely charming shows I've seen.
